Tools
Use these tools to make changes to the screen image:
Snapshot
Snapshot captures a part of the image on the fax view screen. After capture, the partial image can
be deleted, duplicated, or saved.
Select : outline the part of the image you wish to capture by using
the right mouse button to make a rubber rectangle. Press the right mouse button at the start point
and drag until the portion to be captured is inside of the rectangle. Then release the mouse
button.
The rectangle cannot be larger than the view screen or the image. The point at which the right
mouse button is pressed should be inside the view screen; otherwise, capture ends up without an
image and the previous captured image, if any, is no longer available.
Copy : make a copy of the captured image in memory.
Cut : make a copy of the captured image in memory and then erase the screen
image.
Delete : erase the captured image without making a copy.
Paste : place the captured image previously copied into memory at the location pointed to by the
right mouse button. The point should be inside the view screen.
Save As : save the captured image as a file. The image file format can be tiff, bmp, or gif.
Scaling
Scaling changes the size of the image. The scale factors of width and height can be different.
Double : make double size
Half : make half size
Auto fit : make the width of the image the same as the width of the view
screen
User Define : user defines the scale factors
Default : return to initial scale factors
Rotation
Change the image orientation.
CW : rotate 90 degrees in a clockwise direction
CCW : rotate 90 degrees in a counterclockwise direction
Default : return to the initial image orientation
Spot Removal
Remove the noise. The image should be saved before spot removal if the image has been changed. Only
spots that are 1 pixel thick are removed.
